Hear the funky, soulful music from new edge artist, " Chanel " from Birmingham, England, the romantic sounds of Cuban guitarist " Alex Jordan" accompanied by a flamenco dancer , the spicy melodies of Colombian salsa singer "Michael Navarette" (our DJ for the night), a fashion show by Timeless Apparel designer "Chooch", Puerto Rican poets "Ezzio & Asia", and of course poetry in motion by yours truly "Maeva The Artist".

I heard a comment the other by a gentleman, he said, " I don't know what the arts are anymore, to me the arts is dead." I was so shocked to hear him say that. Today, people have this idea that The Arts are only for the "Elite", that arts is just a luxury. I beg to differ. As an artist, I believe that every community needs the arts whether it be SoHo, Miami Design District, Coconut Grove, Little Haiti, Pembroke Pines, or Miramar. The Arts and Culture is what helps communities thrive. Many people may not be aware of that, but that is why I joined forces with Nolwen Lalanne of The Nest of Living Arts, to create an event that bring creative minds together to bring about an awareness of why the arts are needed in our communities. The event is called "The Art Buzz", which is held every last Tuesday of the month at 7pm at various locations.
This month, August 25th, it will be held at It's A Grind Coffee House located at 12703 Miramar Parkway, Miramar FL 33027. It's free and open to artists and entrepreneurs. Hosted by Maeva The Artist & Nolwen. Featured artists are Songstress, Lavie with Lavie Music, Poet, Mr. Whispers, and contemporary visual artist, Franklin Belizaire.
